BBG Holds Board Meeting At RFE’s Prague Headquarters
(Prague, Czech Republic) The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) visited RFE headquarters in Prague this week, where they held their October meeting, took part in a townhall discussion with RFE employees and met with former Czech President Vaclav Havel.
This was the first trip to RFE’s main broadcast facility for Chairman Walter Isaacson and fellow governors Dennis Mulhaupt, S. Enders Wimbush, Victor Ashe, and Michael Meehan, whose nominations to the BBG were confirmed by the U.S. Senate in June. During their stay in Prague, the governors also took part in the annual meeting of the Board of Directors of RFE/RL, Inc. and held working meetings with RFE journalists, broadcast service directors, and other staff on topics ranging from radio broadcasting to social media strategy.
