On the 50th anniversary of the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia, please join Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) and Current Time TV for a celebration of democracy and freedom and a premier screening of the film ​Occupation 1968.

The film is an exploration of “occupation as the occupants see it.” 5 countries of the Warsaw Pact occupied Czechoslovakia in 1968. 50 years later, 5 directors from these countries each made a short film about the invasion from the point of view of the people who took part in it. By Evdokia Moskvina, Linda Dombrovszky, Magdalena Szymkow, Marie Elisa Scheidt, and Stephan Komandarev.

The film will be screened in the original version with Czech and English subtitles; simultaneous Russian translation will be provided.
