Khatia received her bachelor’s in journalism and communication from Ivane Javakhishvili State University in 2018. Since 2017 she has been working as a journalist for the online magazine sova.news and was nominated of the EU prize for journalism in 2022 for the best story in print or online media. Kahtia has participated in numerous journalism workshops programs throughout the globe, including Germany, Finland, the U.S.A., Ukraine, and naturally Georgia. She has worked alongside NGO and grassroots communities like INPUD and GENPUD for publications regarding the drug policy in Georgia, which granted her third place for her efforts. Khatia’s native language is Russian; she is fluent in Georgian and upper-intermediate in English.
