Shota Kincha, Georgia
Shota is a journalist with over a decade of experience in reporting and research. He worked for Open Caucasus Media, where he wrote in-depth features, newsletters, and participated in podcast episodes that focused on topics such as democratic transition, the far right, labor rights, and queer politics. Previously, Shota worked as a researcher at the Social Justice Center. He also has academic experience, having served as an assistant editor for Identity Studies at Ilia State University and as a guest lecturer in Ethnicity and Nationalism Studies. Shota holds a master’s degree in nationalism studies from the University of Edinburgh and a master’s in history and theory of culture from Tbilisi State University. He is fluent in Georgian, English, and Russian.
