Yaroslava is a journalist and editor with over 13 years of experience in regional and national media, specializing in print and online platforms. She worked at Texty.org.ua, where she wrote documentary reports and collaborated with data programmers to create data journalism projects. In 2023, she served as a journalist at Ukraine’s Public Broadcasting Company. In cooperation with the investigations department she created a documentary film, The Queue to Say Goodbye, about missing persons from the ongoing war. Previously, she served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief at Hromadske.ua. Yaroslava is a winner of the Publications for Change journalism contest by the UN in Ukraine and “Europe begins with your city” contest by Evropeiska Pravda. She was also shortlisted for the True Story Award. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Ivan Franko Lviv National University and is fluent in Ukrainian and English.
