Joseph Lataille

Joe Lataille is RFE/RL’s Chief Financial Officer with over 20 years of national security nonprofit management experience.

He joined RFE/RL from the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP), a national, nonpartisan, organization where he most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Operations. He helped successive CEOs align resources to strategy and drove global support operations to improved performance and greater risk management. As CFO, Lataille oversaw substantial growth and a complex financial system conversion, reforming processes, building efficiencies, and improving internal controls. In his time leading operational functions, Lataille helped steer facilities, IT, and AV investments in a transformational new direction.

Lataille also served as Acting President and CEO during a critical transition period in 2020. He holds a master’s degree in public administration with a focus in nonprofit management from The George Washington University and graduated from The College of William and Mary.
